All Akron Municipal Court courtrooms will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

News Release - The Akron Municipal Courthouse Will Be Closed to the Public From July 11-16, 2022, Hearings Will Occur Virtually When Possible

The Akron Municipal Courthouse will continue to be closed to the public from Monday, July 11, 2022 through Saturday, July 16, 2022 due to limited building access.All scheduled hearings, including arraignments, will be held remotely when possible. Those impacted will be receiving instructions from their attorney or assigned courtroom.
The Clerk of Court’s staff will be available in the lobby of the Harold K. Stubbs Justice Center to accept waivers on traffic cases.
If court users have questions, they are instructed to call the Akron Municipal Court at (330) 375-2120 and leave a voicemail message or contact their assigned courtroom directly. Courtroom contacts can be found in the Departmental Directory available here.
