Pursuant to local court rules, the open enrollment period for attorneys wishing to apply for the Misdemeanor Criminal Appointed Counsel List is twice per year. 

Please note this application is for appointments in the Stow Municipal Court and the Barberton Municipal Court as well.

If you submitted an application in the past year and were approved, you do not need to reapply.

If you wish to apply, please fill out the attached online application and e-mail it to attyappointments@akronohio.gov by March 16, 2024.

If you are currently on the Misdemeanor Criminal Appointment Counsel List and wish to be removed, e-mail us at attyappointments@akronohio.gov.

Please remember that only applications submitted through this online process will be considered for inclusion on the list.
